Beschreibung

Maestrini scoop strainer made from brass, with an oval shaped grating. This scoop is designed for raw water intake systems, such as those used for engine coolant. It fits through the hull with the grating on the outside and the male threaded pipe leading inside, usually to a valve to open and close the intake.

The scoop grating can be secured to the hull using a marine sealant and is also fixed with a back locking nut and washer.

Important note: All fittings used for through hull applications must be correctly electrically bonded to ensure protection from electrolytic corrosion. Brass is susceptible to dezincification and may not last as long as other materials in below waterline through hull applications.
