The SRM (safety related message) cable allows users to initiate "safety related message" transmission. It also allows users to switch the device into Receive Only mode.
In Silent Mode Switching the AIS600 can be switched to silent mode via a remote single throw switch. (Not included)
When an SRM switch is installed closing the switch broadcasts a pan-pan urgency SRM. While the switch is closed the AIS600 will send the urgency message at a rate of one message per minute.
