Description

Maestrini 402656 slotted scoop water intake strainer plate made from brass, with a wedge shaped grating. The 402656 strainer grate is designed for raw water intake systems, to product from debris entering the intake water system. The 402656 grate is designed to secure to the outside of the boat over a through hull skin fitting to prevent debris entering the intake system.

The strainer grating can be secured to the hull using eight screws although it is recommended to use a marine sealant as well.

Important note: All fittings used for through hull applications must be correctly electrically bonded to ensure protection from electrolytic corrosion. Brass is susceptible to dezincification and may not last as long as other materials in below waterline through hull applications.
